Coach Haylee De Jong is a former collegiate softball player and current assistant coach at Cal State San Marcos, where she helped lead the Cougars to the 2026 NCAA Division II Women’s College World Series. She has worked with athletes at every level of the game and has helped develop players who have gone on to compete at the NCAA Division I, II, III, and junior college levels.

As the Director of Player Development for Breakers Labs and co-owner of 5 Tool Hitting Center, Haylee is passionate about creating an environment where athletes can grow both on and off the field. Her coaching philosophy centers on building fundamentally sound players through purposeful instruction, attention to detail, and consistent development.

Haylee has extensive experience coaching youth softball players beginning at 8 years old and is known for her caring, detailed, and holistic approach to player development. She believes the lessons learned through softball extend far beyond the game itself. Her goal is to help every athlete build confidence, character, resilience, and leadership while developing the skills needed to compete at the next level.

Whether working with beginners learning the fundamentals or advanced players preparing for college softball, Coach Haylee is committed to helping every athlete reach their full potential while becoming confident young women both on and off the field.
